Digital Finance Week took place between April 8 – 12, 2024 in Bucharest, Romania, where the Bulgarian Fintech Association had the pleasure of taking part.
Digital Finance Week aims to drive innovation, encourage collaboration and transformation in the field of digital finance, and support financial literacy.
The participation of BFA was related to the presentation of a joint report “Fintech Report Romania & Bulgaria” on the development of the fintech ecosystem in the two countries. The report was carried out jointly with Prof. Deyan Radev from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration of Sofia University “St. Kliment Ohridski” and Prof. Vasiliy Strat, Dean of the University of Economic Studies in Romania, and with the support of Rofintech, BFA and Visa. As well as an in-depth analysis of the two fintech sectors, the report also presents a survey of 58 Bulgarian and Romanian fintech companies.
We believe that this report will be a catalyst for the further development and cooperation of both the Bulgarian and Romanian fintech ecosystem, as well as the entire fintech community in Southeast Europe.
