The third networking event of the Bulgarian Fintech Association took place on the 19th of September at Puzl CowOrKing Space. We were glad to welcome more than 60 people who were interested in hearing more about the Fintech developments in Bulgaria.
This time the format was a bit different than what we had done before. Our “Special Edition” included two presentations – one from the Associaiton and one from our BoD members Paysera Bulgaria.
Our guests had the opportunity to hear the first official presentation of the Bulgarian Fintech Report, which was released recently. The Director of the Bulgarian Fintech Association – Gergana Stoitchkova, presented some of the key findings of the Report, such as that:
The estimated number of Bulgarian Fintech companies is 65, which is more than that in any other SEE country;
In the last three years the total operating revenue of the fintech sector has more than doubled, maintaining a steady increase of approximately 33.5% on an annual basis;
The majority of the Bulgarian Fintech companies operate in the Payments segment.
Paysera Bulgaria was presented by Magdalena Traykova. Since its establishment on the Bulgarian market in 2016, the local franchise of the Lithuanian company Paysera LT – Paysera Bulgaria, has successfully managed to prove itself as a modern and innovative alternative of the traditional payment services. The company offers a wide specter of payment services via its own online platform including multi-currency IBAN account, cheaper and faster international money transfers all over the world, ecommerce payment gateway, instant payments via mobile e-wallet, QR code payments, Paysera payment card.
After the presentations the event proceeded to its informal part where everybody had the opportunity to meet each other and chat over a glass of wine in the welcoming atmosphere of Puzl CoCafé. We had prepared a special gift for each of our guests – a physical copy of the first Annual Bulgarian Fintech Report.
