The Bulgarian Fintech Association (BFA) and the Dubai International Centre (DIFC) are thrilled to invite you to join them on a virtual journey to Fintech Bulgaria. During the webinar, the BFA, in collaboration with Innovative Sofia, will show you the benefits and opportunities of developing a Fintech business in the European Union (EU). They will guide you through the EU Fintech jungle and show you a well-hidden Fintech oasis – Bulgaria – a comparatively small, developing EU member state which your Fintech business can use as an access point to the European market.

Who are the Bulgarian Fintech Association and Innovative Sofia?
The Bulgarian Fintech Association is a non-profit organization uniting the leading fintech companies in the South Eastern Europe region, and especially in Bulgaria. The mission of the Association is to create a platform uniting all parties in Bulgaria interested in Financial Technologies and to encourage the communication and exchange of ideas among them. Furthermore, the Bulgarian Fintech Association aims at representing and safeguarding the shared values of its members before regulators, investors, financial institutions, foreign associations, partners and any other parties and thus, to foster the development of the sector. It consists of 47 Fintech member-companies from the whole spectre of the fintech industry.
Innovative Sofia is the name of the ‘Digitalization, Innovation and Economic Development’ department of the municipality of capital of Bulgaria – Sofia. Innovative Sofia engages different stakeholder groups, facilitates contacts and networks with potential international and local partners, public authorities, research and educational institutions. The department’s mission has two main pillars to support high-tech and R&D investors in Sofia, and consolidate and guide Sofia’s digital and smart city projects, focusing on increasing the number and quality of municipal e-services, open data and smart city projects implementation. Last but not least, Innovative Sofia provide information and analyses on Sofia’s digital and economic environment to make Sofia an innovative hub facilitating the R&D potential of the technology sector.
