On 24 February, the Bulgarian Fintech Association will take part in the Fintech Visits Program – a joint initiative of the European Digital Finance Association (EDFA) and the European Commission’s DG FISMA (Directorate-General for Financial Stability, Financial Services and Capital Markets Union – the Commission department responsible for EU policy on financial services).

Fintech Visits is a 90-minute online session that spotlights one European market and its interaction with EU regulation. The format is an open discussion (no recordings, no screenshots), focused on real-life examples and practical feedback – not sales pitches. The goal is to provide DG FISMA with a concise, hands-on view of key trends, needs and regulatory challenges that matter for current and future EU policy making.

Representing Fintech Bulgaria, Bozhena Bozhilova will deliver a concrete market overview of Bulgaria’s fintech ecosystem. We will also be joined by our members presenting their companies and experiences and engaging directly with DG FISMA: Afranga, CashCredit, IRIS Solutions, and Truvity.

We believe these direct exchanges between institutions and innovators are essential for smart, workable regulation that supports innovation while strengthening trust. We look forward to a meaningful dialogue and to sharing insights from Bulgaria’s digital finance and fintech ecosystem.
